• monitor regional conditions

SPOT 5 Panchromatic, although similar resolution to IRS provides more detail and contrast within each feature:

• roads, buildings, forests, crops, wetlands
• discriminate differences within land use types
• ideal for monitoring

IKONOS & Quickbird High Resolution:

• large scale mapping
• emergency planning and disaster mapping
• ideal for urban and small disaster management
