Stitch
Jones - Retired
Stitch has
had an incredible career and is now official retired at 7 1/2 from the show
ring and the whelping box. It is time for her to be our
'pampered pet', and her days will now be spent patrolling the
property and working when we can. She has been so much fun to
show and work, and has contributed so much to our breeding
program. So many of the Amblegreen terriers out there have
Stitch Jones in their pedigrees and I hope their futures will
be as bright and exciting as her life has been so far.
Watch for her kids and grandkids ...

Stitch Jones is my once in a lifetime dog, and I can't thank David
& Susan enough for entrusting her to me. She has been an outstanding
addition to Amblegreen and is a cornerstone to our breeding program.
Stitch is a lively companion and an excellent worker. She possesses
tremendous bone, a strong head, compressible chest and great flexibility.
In the conformation
ring she has proven to be a excellent competitor. Since her first
trial in '98 she has won her class almost every time and has gone
on to be Champion/Best or Reserve over 30 times. This was under
twleve different judges, and includes being the 1998 JRTCC National
Reserve Working Terrier Bitch & the 1999 JRTCC National Reserve
Conformation Champion, Best Working Terrier Bitch and Best Foreign
Bred.

In 2002
we are delighted with Stitch's latest wins. At the Arizona Rescue
Trial - March 2002 - she was the Best Working Terrier Bitch both
days. Under Joe Smith, Stitch was also awarded the Working Conformation
Champion award! In November 2002 at the JRTNNC Open Trial
Stitch was awarded Working Conformation Champion
and Best Family! Her lovely family included Sultan, Magpie and little
Santana.
In 2003
Stitch was once again the JRTNNC Working Conformation Champion, at
just shy of 6 years of age!
It looks as though her abilities in the ring and field are also
being met in the whelping box. Her litter in 2000 produced Sultan
- who is maturing into a fine terrier. In 2001 we are very proud
of her litter of four Her lovely daughters, Magpie and Cider, can
be seen under the Bitches heading. Her third daughter, Calamity, is owned by
Battle Born Terriers. Her 2001 son was Storm - a striking
smooth coated male owned by Lyn Smith - Aurora Terriers.
In 2002 she produced Santana (Tanner)...sired
by Quail Oak Montana, and in 2003 a litter of two bitches by
Amblegreen Al Capone.
This year
Stitch has attended three trials and has been shown to 5
judges. At 7 years of age she is still competitive and has
done well. At the Del Sol Trials she was Reserve Working
Conformation Champion under Gary Morgan, and Reserve Working Bitch
under David Finlay. At the Colorado Trial she was only shown
one day and was Reserve Working Terrier Bitch - Terry Petrie.
At the Wheatland Classic Trials she was Best Working Bitch under Bob
Clough. Stitch was the Working Conformation Champion on the
Sunday - Lynn Clough judging.
